Devlog post - WEEK #4 - Manuel


Hello, for this week I had a delivery due today (Friday) from a different class which I largely focused on for the majority of the week and thus didn't manage to contribute much this week with game features.

I mostly just updated the design document since we also had that due today, and made some changes to it based on teacher suggestions while also adding a small paragraph to it regarding the status ailments I developed on my prototype. The art students we're working with also wanted to redesign our storyboards a bit so they would look more visually appealing and they did an amazing job with that, so we updated the design document with those storyboards as well.

This weekend I hope to finish up some of the more important features I have due, such as the hopefully-fully-functional status ailment system, as well as finishing up the code for the parallax backgrounds. If all goes well with that, throughout the week I'll try to contribute by extending the forest map a bit as well as any other features I'm behind on or any improvements in general that may be needed.

I'm a bit sad I don't have any sprites or images to show this week, but maybe some time during this weekend I might edit this post with some icons for some of the status ailments if that's alright.
