Devlog post - WEEK #1


This week I've been developing the first stage of my prototype (the underwater zone). Been focused on the tilemaping of the zone and the water physics. Next week I pretend to finish the prototype with the creation of a swimming animation and controls for the main character.

I like the image. How hard is it to work with tilemaps? You are using Unity, right? Is it natively supported or do you need a plugin?

It's actually very satisfying to see everything take shape which makes is a very pleasant experience. Yes! We're using Unity and tilemaping is a native Unity's functionality.

We're using "Rule Tiles" from the package "2D Tilemap Extras", to make the process of drawing the terrain much easier.

Very good. It appears to make prototyping a level quite easy. Keep on it!

I couldn't figure out how to do that actually. Had to select and draw each tile individually.
