Week 2 Devlog - Tomás Soares


This week I focused on completing my prototype. I implemented a Roll skill with a timer, that allows the player to turn into a sort of ball and increase their speed, adding variety to the character's movement. After that I created a poison fog effect that kills the player unless the have the Roll skill activated and also made a slime cube that makes the player bounce. Using those three elements, I created a test map that included an obstacle course and some enemies. Wanting to add another layer to the skill, I made it so that when the player collides with an enemy while in Roll mode, he applies damage and bounces off him.
